In a shocking incident where a man was found dead at Apple’s headquarters in Cupertino, it is now confirmed that he was an Apple employee.
The incident was first reported on Wednesday morning, when a man was found dead in one of the conference rooms on Apple’s campus. While, there were speculations stating that another employee was injured, the police cleared out the rumors and said there was no other casualties. The exact details are still unknown and are expected to be revealed soon by the authorities.
Early reports mentioned that a gun was found near the body. Matt Keller from ABC7 News had earlier Tweeted reporting the same. But, the reports were dismissed by the local police department, ruling out any such possibility. It was also mentioned that it didn’t involve any criminal activity, ruling out any signs of foul play. As of now it’s looking like an unfortunate event, marking on of the darkest days for the Cupertino giant.
Apple recently issued a short statement on this:
We are heartbroken by the tragic loss of a young and talented coworker. Our thoughts and deepest sympathies go out to his family and friends, including the many people he worked with here at Apple.
