How To Secure Notes On iPhone and iPad

Share with your friends

Notes app is a very integral part of iOS devices. It is one such app which is highly used by the consumers. Making the Notes private was first added to the Apple devices in iOS 9.3. These days, we all store a lot of private details in our notes, such as credit card pin number, bank logins and a lot more to stay on the safer side of not forgetting them. And now that we know we can lock them, there’s nothing more we want.

Here are a few simple steps to secure notes on iPhone or iPad running on iOS 9.3:

  1. Open the Notes app
  2. Create a new note or open an existing note
  3. Hit the Share button
  4. Tap on Lock Note
  5. Enter the password and/or a hint
  6. A lock button will now appear in the header
  7. Tapping the Lock button now will lock the note and would ask you for the password the next time you open it- TouchID would also work with the respective devices
