According to a new report, Apple has discontinued selling the Time Capsule and AirPort Extreme at the retail stores in the U.S. Pointed first by MacRumors, there have been several customers who have reported that the Time Capsule and AirPort are out of stock and a support representative has also confirmed that the stock for both these products has been pulled off from all the U.S. Stores.
The two products are still available for sale online internationally and it can all be related to the upcoming deadline of FCC on June 2 which links to the router software security rules. Similarly, the base stations are still available online, even at the third-party retailers.
It was at the 2013 WWDC when either of the base stations got a refresh. And moreover, there haven’t been any rumours around these products either.
