The next generation Apple iPhone could be the biggest annual refresh mainly in terms of the storage options provided. According to a research firm, the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus would be available in the 256GB storage option and that too with a higher RAM installed.
The upcoming iPhone 7 is believed to look similar to the existing iPhone 6s. The minor improvements might include the redesigned antenna lines, better optics in the camera and faster processors.
According to TrendForce, the new iPhone will be a pleasant one for the ones who like to carry a lot of media along with them and also claims that Apple has “settled on most of the specs for the next iPhone,” including the 256GB storage option.
Kevin Wang, a IHS Technologies analyst claims that Apple has finally confirmed that they would get away with the 16GB base model and make the 32GB as the base model for the iPhone 7 series. However, there is no surety yet on the middle model if it would be a 64GB one or a 128GB one.

TrendForce also says that the iPhone 7 Plus will house a 3GB RAM and the same is also claimed by the very reliable KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. However, the smaller iPhone 7 is believed to have 2GB RAM.
Other leaks say that the iPhone 7 Plus might come with a dual-lens camera and the 3.5mm audio jack would give way to a Smart Connector.
