The 2016 iPhone Photography Awards has once again managed to awestruck us with the kind of photos that you can’t image being clicked by an iPhone. It not just another smartphone available in the market, it is indeed a special one.

With the first edition of iPhone Photography Awards having started in 2007 with the launch of the first ever iPhone, the camera of the iPhone has always been seen a major improvement in every generation. There have been a lot of professional photographers who have preferred iPhone over many of the all-in-one point and shoot cameras available in the market.

Images from 139 countries were submitted for the awards wherein the grand-prize was grabbed by Siyuan Niu of China who gave an amazing interview with TIME bringing out his excitement. Niu clicked a beautiful picture using an iPhone 5s in which an old man is touching nose to his well trained eagle’s beak.

“I couldn’t believe I got the prize,” Niu told TIME Lightbox reporter Rachel Lowry. “If I had to describe the feeling, I could only say that it feels like when Andy from The Shawshank Redemption finally reached out of the sewers and hugged freedom; it’s like when Jack won the ticket to the Titanic; or when young Simba was born and lifted by the shaman baboon, Rafiki (Lion King).”
